I really enjoyed First Steps to Urban Gardening. Faithe is very knowledgeable and gave me a ton of information. The information I will use the most is about water conservation, including installing water barrels in my backyard. The other thing I LOVED was the salsa garden. She showed how to plant it, gave times for maturation of the plants, and gave directions on how to can it! That is what I was looking for. Sometimes, that is what a beginner needs. I needed the step-by-step instructions. Thank you!! The journal was a great idea because although I garden yearly, I have never logged what I did and forgotten things. There was so much in here I loved. Make sure you read this book! So many ideas. I will do as Faithe recommends, start small, and not overwhelm myself. LOL Highly Recommend!
